When your deodorant runs down to the point where it looks like this [pic of deo down to the plastic] , you:
1.Pick it out with your fingers and apply it manually 2.Throw it out and go with out 3.Throw it out and use your roommate’s 4.None of the above. Mine never gets that low
I've totally done number 1 on many occasions. Here in London I've been using spray on deodorant though (and it ironically enough just ran out yesterday) so no opportunity to dig.

If you use a q-tip to dig you will retain more.
